Dynamic Model for Channel Bed Erosionby Donald A. Drew, Asst. Prof.; Dept. of Mathematical Sciences, Renssselaer Polytechnic Inst., Troy, N.Y.,
Serial Information: Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1979, Vol. 105, Issue 6, Pg. 721-736
Document Type: Journal Paper
A model for the hydrodynamical description of the flow of sediment and water in a thin layer near the bed is presented. Closer assumptions are given for the turbulence terms. A pickup relation for the concentration of sediment above the bed is examined. The behavior of the model is studied for two different simplifying assumptions about the fluid flow above the bed.
