Abstract: The bending analysis of anisotropic plates is considered by the application of the method of lines. In this analysis the governing partial differential equations are replaced by a system of first-order differential equations and then solved by the multisegment numerical integration method. Results obtained from this analysis compare very well with those obtained by the energy and Fourier series methods.
