Abstract: Supplementary experiments for the brink depth method in a rectangular channel are described including changes of channel slope and channel roughness. The ratio of the end depth and the critical depth Ye/Yc =0.715, as suggested by Rouse, was confirmed for Reynolds numbers ranging from 2 x 104 to 106.
