Abstract: The study of axisymmetric multilayer sandwich shells with n stiff layers and n-1 weak cores by the finite element method is presented. A proposed curved multilayered element is used to investigate the elastic behavior of circular plates, cylindrical, conical, and spherical sandwich shells under various loading conditions. Numerical results obtained in these studies indicate excellent agreement with existing theoretical results.
