This paper presents a suggested standard, which, if followed, will facilitate the distribution of computer programs. It is recognized that there are many distribution media. The standard provides recommendations for distributing programs and test data via magnetic tape, punched cards, and perforated paper tape. The standard is developed for hardware and software supplied by United States based vendors. Where possible, relationships with other hardware and software have been provided.
