Abstract: A methodology to determine aqueduct design capacity under varying demand conditions has been developed. Two models of increasing complexity have been presented. In the first model the demand functions have simultaneous peaks, whereas in the second model they are completely general. Both models are deterministic and use dynamic programming to maximize net benefits. The models have been tested on a hypothetical system.
