At present, our environmental and human objectives are not in harmony, and our past use of technology has left us wholly unprepared for what is happening. The resolution of our problems will be through a more effective involvement of engineers and planners in public policy decisions. A broader understanding by world leaders must be realized, of how technology must be employed to improve not only the quality of human environment, but bring about the salvation of human life on this planet.
