Abstract: Rheidol is a 56-MW hydroelectric station operated by the Central Electricity Generating Board (of England) in mid Wales. Both the low-pressure NANT-Y-MQCH to DINAS and the higher-pressure DINAS to CWM RHEIDOL tunnels have suffered biofouling and its attendant loss of hydraulic performance.
