Abstract: The object of this paper is to show that a relationship can be developed which relates the parameters in the equilibrium temperature model to the parameters in the Taylor Series expansion model. This allows one to use either method for any model considered by interchanging the parameters as shown. It will be further shown that the equilibrium temperature model is a special case of the Taylor Series expansion model. It should be noted that either linearization scheme mentioned is an approximation and strictly valid only during steady meteorological conditions.
