The use of circular cylinders that operate at elevated temperatures, nuclear-power plant, steam-power plant, chemical processes, and jet propulsion systems, has increased rapidly during the last few decades. To design such load carrying members, the effect of creep strains on stresses must be assessed. In the present note the load-deformational behavior of bending of circular cylinders made of materials that creep is considered.
