Document Type: Journal Paper
Abstract: Steady-state solutions form the basis of most practical river-flow calculations. An understanding of the inherent physical limitations imposed by the assumption of steady flow is of great value to the river engineer. Is this technical not the important case of steady flow over a simple transition is considered.
