Abstract:

The problems involved in converting earthquake ground acceleration records from analog to digital form for use in structural response calculations are widely recognized. Several different balancing or base line corrections are widely recognized. Several different balancing or base line correction procedures have been proposed over the years. Recent studies have resulted in a standard correction procedure for accelerograms, which was used in producing the EERL.
