Abstract: Recent studies on shallow vertical anchors have been primarily concerned with the ultimate pullout capacity of the anchor and have not concerned themselves with the load-displacement relationship. In bulkheads or other lateral load bearing structures where vertical anchors are used, tolerable displacement may impose restrictions on the design load. The purpose herein is to present a load-displacement analysis of the model tests conducted as a part of the continuing study on anchors at Tri-State College.
